Laura Sullivan grew up in 100-year-old farmhouse at the foothills of Mount Lassen, in Northern California. Both of Laura's parents played instruments and there was always music in the house.
Recipient of college scholarships: the Emily A. Hauss Music Award, and the Jane Bowman Jewett Music Award, Laura majored in music in college and received a bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance.
She has recorded many albums of original music which frequently chart on Billboard Top Ten bestseller lists, including 'Love's River' which won a Grammy® award at the 56th annual awards show. Her album ‘Pieces of Forever’ which was nominated for a Grammy® award at the 64th annual awards show.
You may have heard Laura's music on one of your favorite programs. She has composed underscore for shows seen on CBS, NBC, Fox, and Sony including So You Think You Can Dance, On the Case with Paula Zahn, The Dr. Oz Show, MTV's Catfish: The TV Show, 48 Hours, Under Dog to Wonder Dog, The History Channel, Fit TV, Angry Planet, The Perfect Murder, Discovery Civilization Channel, The Landscape Channel, and commercials for Hyundai among many others. Her music is also featured in the Emmy Award-Winning documentary "Walk into the Wild: Spirit of Itasca" and the Emmy Award-Winning documentary "The Greatest Silent Sport", which was also awarded at the Fargo Film Festival.
